I am a fan of all things spicy, but there have been a few instances where even I have been shocked at the level of capsaicin in a dish. This however was more like a “sit down white boy, let me show you spicy” kind of situation. Through watery eyes, I wolfed this down nonetheless and enjoyed every flaming bite. If you aren’t as elated by spice as I am, you can still make this tolerable, but I would suggest having some sour cream or plain Greek yogurt around to quench the flames that are sure to engulf your lips.
Yum
If you’ve never tried tofu before or think that you have to be some sort of vegan-hippie to try it, I promise you don’t, and I implore you to try it. You can find tofu at every grocery store usually near the produce in a refrigerated section along the wall or sometimes in the general refrigerated section. We found a pretty package of sprouted tofu at our local Trader Joes for like a dollar and change so we just had to pick it up!
You will notice in both the list of ingredients and the directions that I don’t want you to peel your garlic. Weird right? The reason behind that is to add texture to the spice mix and help it stick to the tofu better, trust me and go for it!
Yum
