2022 was quite an eventful year for me. I started going back to school in the summer and did a lot better than I thought I would. Since then, I have completed three classes in my endeavor to become a nurse. To say it was easy would be somewhat of a lie, I truly had to apply myself and make changes to my normal routine to accommodate the new workload of school. As a result, this website has sat vacant to new recipes and ideas. I hope that once I’m done, I can revisit my passion for posting recipes and fun tidbits about my life.
In the meantime, my nephew has grown up and is almost 2, I’ve taken a few trips with my family and friends to the north shore and the boundary waters. My roommates got married and are planning their honeymoon. My cousin also got married to a wonderful lady and I’m so happy for them. I’ve spent time learning how to make maple syrup from one of my oldest friends and his family, a weekend I will never forget. My sister graduated high school and is now attending the U of M. My other sister moved away to live in New York and is thriving in the big city. My brother is now a lieutenant in the Big Lake fire department and is making a big difference in his community.
I also adopted two little kittens from up north. They are both Tortoise shell in color and are absolutely perfect. They may be little shits at times, but I can’t imagine coming home without them greeting me at the door.
I’ve taken time to get to know myself and forgive the younger version of me for all of his mistakes. This is one of the most important things I have done this year and it has taken the most effort out of all my accomplishments.
My hope for this year is that I will be able to disc golf as much as possible, enjoy my yearly trip to the boundary waters, and successfully apply to the nursing program for next year. I’m excited to see what is to come and hope that this year brings happiness and peace.
I’m going to try something new: I would like to offer my images for sale to those that would like to have a piece of my work in their home/space. You can comment on this post to request the full-sized images below. I will set up the e-commerce site if there is sufficient demand.
